More and more people are turning to the internet as a means of supplementing their income — or even replacing it. There are a lot of advantages to having a home-based business run on the internet:

Independence

Most of us want to be independent. We don’t want to have to rely on someone else to supply our needs and wants. We would really like to be able to make our own way on our own schedule.

Free Time

This is one of the biggest lures to having a home-based business. Instead of spending 8+ hours on the job, an hour at lunch, and then a minimum of an hour commuting, we would like to determine how to spend that 10+ hours a day, or 50+ hours a week with family, or doing things we enjoy.

Financial Freedom

We’ve heard this one so much, do we even know what it means anymore? To me, financial freedom means having the money I need to pay my bills, remain debt free, have money saved for retirement, give gifts to my family and friends just because I want to, and bless the lives of others.

What would it feel like to have an appliance or vehicle break down and not worry about how you are going to be able to come up with the money to repair it?

How wonderful would it be if when your child asks you for something, you don’t have to decide whether or not he can have it based on finances.

How terrific would you feel if a friend or family member was in a financial jam and you simply wrote out a check without having to stop and think whether or not you could afford it?

I’ve heard some people say that they don’t need much. They just want their needs met. Well, I’m going to say something that may seem a bit “out there” or “off the wall” but, if you just want enough money to meet your needs, I think you’re either lazy or selfish! Why stop there? Why not have enough so that you can be a blessing to others?

Can you do this on your day job? Probably not. Then if you truly want independence, free time and financial freedom, a home-based business might be just what you are looking for.
