Laughter increases the level of health-enhancing hormones like endorphins.-Humor enables you to view situations in a less threatening perspective without being overwhelmed with fear and anxiety.- Laughter improves your mood, gives you a positive lift and empowers you with the courage and strength to discover new avenues of meaning and hope.- Laughter and humor also attracts others to us. Laughter is contagious.How do we develop a sense of humor and the ability to laugh:- Read funny cartoons- Search for funny jokes and stories on the internet or bookstores and share them with friends.- make friends with funny people who have a great sense of humor.- Have friends over and host game night.- Play with your pet dog or other pets and just go silly.- Celebrate world laughter day which falls on the first Sunday of May.
