Empowerment – The Power of Change

Empowerment is a process of change, from a state of powerlessness to a state of enabling. Change is a powerful process that has so many benefits for individuals and society as a whole. It Brings Solutions”You cannot solve a problem from the same consciousness that created it. You must learn to see the world anew.” Albert EinsteinIf there is a problem in society, it can only be solved through change. That change must often be as profound as a new way of thinking and being in the world: a new level of consciousness. Our consciousness, both as individuals and collectively, creates the world we experience. It is understanding that we are spirit beings living for now inside physical bodies, and our thoughts and feelings produce a vibration that resonates throughout the universe, bringing back to us a mirror image of who we are. Therefore the most powerful change is a change in consciousness, because that brings about change in every area of life, and in a way that flows easily, without struggle. It Brings OpportunityWe often resist change, as it often comes with discomfort and pain; but all change brings opportunity for growth and development. Change that we perceive as negative, that is forced upon us, is the universe trying to get our attention. It is showing to us the person that we are, deep down inside, so that we can wake up to our true spiritual nature. So at that point we have an opportunity to either resist the lesson, or embrace it and grow. If we choose to resist it, we can be sure that another, even tougher lesson will not be far down the road.Part of the challenge is that the change will usually require a step of faith, trust that things will work out for our benefit, because we’ll not be shown the whole journey at the beginning; only the first step. So we need to believe that the universe has our ‘best interests at heart’ and so be able to trust.Inspires OthersChange is often inspirational to others. Our own awakening and subsequent change is the best gift we can give to the world. We cannot tell people they need to change, we must show them.”Be the change you want to see in the world.”
Mahatma GandhiOur change is a powerful part of the solution to the world’s problems. Each person who raises their vibration, by awakening to their true spiritual nature, will raise the vibration of the whole world. What you do does count, for a lot!Increases Self ConfidenceChange will increase our self-confidence as we will experience how we are able to do things we didn’t think we could do. It is a case of gradually increasing the size and scope of our ‘comfort zone’ as we try new things. We need to be willing to fail, because that is part of the process of growth and change, but we then get up, and start again. A good analogy to understand this is that of a guided missile being fired: it leaves the aircraft straight, but then has to change direction many times in order to hit the target. IOn the same way, we will not get straight to where we want to go without tripping up or taking a detour! We will likely fall over many times on the journey to our ideal life!Improves LivesSo many people are dissatisfied or unhappy with their lives, and many times they can’t even tell you why. They may have everything that is supposed to make them happy, but they are not. I believe that only when we understand our true spiritual nature can we be truly happy.Striving after material possessions will only make us happier for a short while, whereas, awakening will produce long-lasting happiness and all manner of other improvements.Of course more superficial changes will have their own benefits, and will improve an area of your life. That may well be a good first step, as it was for me, but the greatest benefit is to be gained from the knowledge of ones true self.
