1. Location Suggestions: Walmart, Target, Kmart, Sams Club, supermarkets, Flea Market, Church event, sporting events, shopping mall, a popular local restaurant. If you call up a store (like Walmart) and they tell you they dont allow you to set up a table, just call the next store. Whether the store allows a table to be set up outside is the decision of the store manager and every store is different. If you go to the stores website and print out all the stores in your area, you can call every store within your area and one is bound to let you do it.
a. Some of you may have heard that Walmart matches the funds you raise outside their store. Effective January 1 Walmart is no longer matching. What we were told is that each store can give $1,000 to a cause. You can call up your Walmart store and ask if they have already given their money to the group you are raising the money for and if they haven’t you can put a request in for it.
b. Having a garage sale? Set a table up and sell merchandise. Golf event? Set up a table. Have you brought your merchandise into your work place? Your coworkers can buy merchandise to support you. You should be setting up a table selling merchandise at ANY event in which you are trying to raise funds at. People WILL buy the merchandise.

2. You will need a 30×60 banquet table. Any smaller table you can’t display your merchandise properly. You can buy an inexpensive folding banquet table at Target for about $35. It is well worth the investment as it folds up making it easily transportable. Make sure you set your table up where it is visible and when people are leaving the store. People are more inclined to buy something when they leave the store so they don’t have to carry the items around.
3. Make sure your table looks professional. Place a plain pink tablecloth if your doing breast cancer awareness, on the table. Do not use one that has prints as it will take away from the merchandise being sold on the table and make your table look “busy”.
4. Get a banner or large sign and tape to the front of the table to make your table look professional and draw attention to you. You could also hang one behind you if there is a wall. Add balloons to draw attention. Make sure your items are organized and displayed on the table. Group all like items together.
5. You have two options for displaying pricing. You can buy a plexi glass picture holder for a couple of dollars and print off our sign template or print off individual signs to display next to each item being sold. Just print them off using a color printer and get a black magic marker and mark your price you are selling them for.
6. Get a shoe box or other container to hold your money. Make sure if you leave the table for any reason you have someone watching the money.
