To put it simple, branding is a process in increasing public’s awareness of your company’s name and logo through advertising, public relations, etc. Recent economic may be slow but internet is still a cool place to promote your brand. The shopper doesn’t need to walk away from their home to visit your store. They only need to sit in front of their computer and browse your web. Your web page must be compelling enough to your customer and your web advertising shouldn’t look like an advertisement, it should be interactive and entertaining.To build your brand through the web, you can’t just solely rely on your web page. Use every means necessary to promote your brand such as e-mail, online communities, contest and promotions. Today you have a lot of options in developing your brand such as:Banner ads: This is a standard and has no different with the old prints ads in the newspaper. You create your advertisement design and you have to pay if you want to put it in someone else’s website. Banner ads only effective under certain conditions such as if you pay enough money to keep then visible in cyberspace for a long time period or if you pay the high rates charged by the most successful website, which can steer you the most traffic.Classifieds: Your products can be advertised on a classified ad site such as AOL Classified Plus (ClassifiedPlus.aol.com).Interstitials: People usually called this as popup ads since it’s appeared in a separate window while a web page is loading. Don’t overuse it since it will irritate your web visitor.Keyword searches: There is a pay service in the internet that you can use to make your website appear more effective in search engine.Newsletter: With e-mail newsletter, you can build a good will and drive business to your website.Partnerships: You should cooperate with another online company which products or services complement your business. Such as microsoft who signs an arrangement with NBC a couple years ago.That is my tips for online branding strategy.
